Glenwood Lawrence is a pastor with a background in the visual arts and music. He is privileged to combine his creative gifts, so that "God of Heaven and People Relations: A Good Look At Evil Through The God of Heaven," is followed by: "Contemporary Trouble Ticket-Trouble with Evil, Trouble with Good," which is a series of four books totaling 448 pages, with over four hundred (400) watercolor illustrations of "inspiring human condition issues-resolving dialogue". While studying visual arts on a scholarship in New York, Lawrence was encouraged by his aunt to include digital computer concepts in his studies, which he did, and later pursued the B.Sc. in Computer Science at Brooklyn College, and the B.Sc. in Psychology at the University of Phoenix. Moved by the death of his father and a deep interest in parental relationships, he began to write. He created and published a book titled: "Hurt-Recovery Procedures," an 800-lines narrative poem about equilibrium and circumstances of disrupted expectations for normalcy. Inspired by positive reader-reactions to this book, he merged his gifts in art and literature and created "Self-Management Talks," based on "Hurt-Recovery Procedures." Then, using these as his base, Lawrence created the illustrated series titled: "A Dance to the Music of Circumstances," which includes the popular fully illustrated book "A Broom To Fly- A unique angle on expectations," (148 pages, with 134 watercolor illustrations). Lawrence is also an accomplished fine artist and musician, with 28 exhibitions of paintings and drawings to his credit. Book illustrations and design include: "The Lazy Person's Guide to Fitness" by Charles Swencionis and E. Davis Ryan (Barricade Books, New York) and "Watching Over Montpelier's Gold" by B. Joy Tracy McLaughlin (Illustrious Publications, Queens, New York). His recordings and musical compositions include: "Enter His Presence with Praise" (ASCAP); "The Great Debate" (ASCAP and winner of New York & Hollywood Pro-Am Harmonious Honors Award), "Searching for Dad," and others.
