With his extensive expertise, he actively contributes to the field as Member of the Verein für Socialpolitik (VfS) in Germany, where he chaired the committee for the History of Economics from 2014 to 2018. Additionally, he is Founding Member of the German Keynes Society. His research focuses on growth and long-run development, macroeconomics, and the history of economic thought.
