""A Lord of Creation"" is a novel written by Marian James and published in 1857. The story follows the life of a young man named Claude, who is born into a wealthy family in France. Despite his privileged upbringing, Claude struggles to find meaning in his life and becomes increasingly disillusioned with the shallow values of his social class.As he grows older, Claude becomes interested in the natural world and begins to study biology and chemistry. He becomes increasingly isolated from society and begins to lose touch with his own humanity. As he becomes more and more consumed by his work, Claude's relationships with the people around him begin to suffer.The novel explores themes of ambition, power, and the limits of human knowledge. It raises important questions about the ethics of scientific experimentation and the role of science in society.
