This is an excellent book on the initial phase of the Indian national freedom movement. The writer explains the different dimensions of the movement with a superb analytical approach. A specialist of mediaeval Indian history, Prof. Habib gives astonishing care and time to several stages of the early independence movement. The publisher used really good paper quality in the printing process, which further complements the quality of the content. The only thing that prevented me from a solid 5-star rating was that the version I purchased from the distributor was a 2018 edition, although the 2024 edition is already available. The distributor should be vigilant for such an issue and try not to repeat similar incidents in the future. Happy reading!!
