Joshua Miller is a good looking mechanic with a drinking problem, a beautiful wife, Ruth, and a conscience. Nevertheless, he will do whatever it takes to support his family during the 1930's depression, including bootlegging whiskey stolen from the mafia. Clayton Kendall is an Oklahoma State Senator with an ego problem, a bitter wife, and no conscience. He'll do whatever it takes, too, including blackmailing anyone who crosses him. Miller loves America and sees political power as a means to keep it great. Kendall knows political power is an end in itself. Joshua must face his demons in order to keep Clayton from tearing his marriage apart. Kendall is a killer, yet Miller is put on trial. Despite very different backgrounds and professions, the two men are pitted against each other again and again as their lives unfold in this story of love, politics, infidelity, power and murder. Can justice be served when one of the most powerful, popular leaders in the state has twisted truth?

Dixie Miller Stewart is the author of three novels and one biography/memoir: Her fiction includes, Charlie's Mark; Jackson's Sons; and A Song For Joshua Miller. The biography of her son: In Sunshine and In Shadow: A Mother's Story of Autism and Addiction. A Song For Joshua Miller pits Joshua, a handsome, patriotic, mechanic with a drinking problem, against Clayton Kendall, an Oklahoma State Senator with a conscience problem, he lacks one. Miller seeks justice, Kendall seeks revenge. Kendall kills, but Miller is put on trial. Charlie's Mark is an historical, action, love story . Charlie is a half breed orphan, mentored by Doc, a lonely physician who rescued him at birth. Charlie must make a name for himself if he is to be worthy of the woman he loves. Near death from a brutal assault by Boxers in China; he finds his way to a legation compound in Peking to rescue a beautiful American girl. They escape, but then find themselves in the middle of a battle between Chinese and British gunships. Charlie's strongest instincts to protect and survive will be repeatedly put to the test and his most deeply held convictions of honor and integrity, challenged. Jackson's Sons is a murder mystery set in Jackson, Mississippi. Senator Edward Hawthorne is a charming, brilliant psychopath who must kill his best friend to prevent his dark past from being exposed. Citizens must risk all they value to identify the killer. In Sunshine and In Shadow: A Mother's Story of Autism and Addiction. Having himself been stabbed on two occasions and left for dead, Robbie intends only to intimidate an assailant but ends up stabbing him. His mother tells the heartbreaking story of her son's struggles with autism and being bullied throughout childhood. A loner, he wanders the country seeking comfort and companionship in drugs and alcohol until something inside him snaps and he strikes back. It is a story of enduring love between mother and son.
