Neil thought hehad it all figured out—a dream job, the rush of a new life in America, and thethrill of friendships that pushed him to question everything he once took forgranted. But beneath the weekend parties and work deadlines, something kepttugging at him. Was he losingmore than he was gaining?A chance meetingwith Isha and the echo of memories from home begin to unravel his carefullycurated dream. A Weekend Hindu is the story of a young man suspended betweentwo worlds, searching for answers he never dared to ask. Poignant, witty, anddeeply relatable, this is a tale of belonging and discovery, of how sometimesyou must cross an ocean to truly come home.Endorsements:A Weekend Hindu is a heartfelt reflection that speaks to a generation stuck intwo worlds, capturing the little choices and silent conflicts that shape thelife of a Hindu abroad. Varun writes with honesty and simplicity. This book isa wake-up call, delivered with warmth, humanity, and captivating storytelling.Esther Dhanraj Author, Unbaptized: Why I Left Christianity and Returned to My Roots In A Weekend Hindu, Varun Kulkarni does something rare: he listensdeeply to the quiet moments where faith and everyday life meet. I see in thisbook what I try to capture in cinema—people navigating between tradition andchange, not with judgment, but with honesty. His writing about family WhatsAppblessings, the awkward joy of explaining Diwali at work, and the nostalgia ofchildhood prayers half-remembered will resonate with many, especially thoseliving far from home. This is a story that matters.Savita Raj Hiremath Movie producer, Khosla ka Ghosla Mocked traditions, twistednarratives, fading roots—this is the journey of a Hindu in America who loseshis way, only to rediscover meaning in the embrace of his civilizationalidentity.Sahana Singh Author, Commentator, GurukulaChampion Varun’s voice has stood throughstorms of social media turbulence. We need strong storytellers like him, who knows how to engage theaudience through truth, simplicity and strength of purpose. We are in a time ofcrisis as the last 2–3 generations have lost the connection with Hindutva, andour traditions and culture. The only way to revive it is to make the youngergeneration aware …. and awake! We must realize andstand up for what is truly our own and does not need to be validated by anyoneelse. The reason our ancestor shed so much blood was pride in their identity! Many congratulations anddeep gratitude for the effort behind this work. Heartfelt blessings brother.Jai Bhavani!Yukta Mookhey Miss World 1999 Sadhguru to the readers of A Weekend HinduItis in the hands of Sanatan to ensure that future generations become notdivisive, but an inclusive and humanistic force.
