Thomas Hylland Eriksen is Professor of Social Anthropology at the University of Oslo. Ellen Bal is a Lecturer in Anthropology at Free University of Amsterdam and the author of They Ask if we Eat Frogs: Garo Ethnicity in Bangladesh (2007).
