Daniels, Duane: - "Award winning actor Duane Daniels, best known as Van Clemons on the cult classic Veronica Mars, has a 40 year career in the arts that spans film, tv and stage and includes directing, producing and even singing opera.Duane's television work includes the original network Veronica Mars series and the 2019 Hulu reboot, appearances on Tremors, The Invisible Man, Big Shots, Terriers and a recurring role on Fashion House as Detective Girardi. His feature films include First Strike and the Veronica Mars movie. He directed the feature film The Day of the White Lotus.As a stage director, Duane was nominated for The L.A. Critics Association, LA Weekly and Ovation Best Director awards. As an Actor, Duane has won a Drama-Logue Award and a Garland Award from Variety Magazine. He directed several world premiere musicals at the famed LaMaMa Experimental Theatre. He's also directed at The Old Globe Theatre in San Diego, The Second City in Hollywood and served as Artistic Director of Buzzworks Theatre in Los Angeles and Space 55 in Phoenix.Additionally, Duane founded San Diego's iconic Fritz Theatre and The Actor's Workhouse in Phoenix. His tenure at the latter led to publication of his first book on acting technique, You're Not Really Hamlet - and Everybody Knows It, available on Amazon and Kindle.Duane currently teaches acting through The Actor's Workhouse in the U.S. and at Berridge Programs in France, where he heads the Contemporary Theatre program; and is co-creator of two original stage musicals, Country Blue Saloon and Teenagers From Space."
