When Arthur Hesper joins ABRAHAM as its youngest executive, he is tasked with designing an artificial intelligence capable of maintaining the virtual world - a job that proves far more intense than he had expected. But then again, when Arthur was hired by the company even after his disastrous interview, he wasn't sure what to expect.

He didn't expect to be syncing his nervous system to the company's supercomputer on his very first day of work.

He didn't expect Sarah Stellos, the enigmatic and laser-focused CEO of ABRAHAM, to have a soft spot for vanilla ice cream - or, for that matter, to go out on a date with him.

And he definitely didn't expect ALI, the mind-reading program that he created to run the virtual world, to get distracted by an apple tree sapling.

Truthfully, there was a lot that Arthur didn't expect before he joined ABRAHAM. He probably shouldn't have been so surprised, then, to learn that a tiny flaw in the company's system had the power to wipe out all life on Earth.

"ABRAHAM" is a science-fiction story that probes the persistence of reality, faith, and humanity against the backdrop of digital ubiquity. Ultimately, the novel tackles the question: is the "perfect world" somewhere that you can just escape to?
