Ziel der Arbeit ist es, anhand theoretischer Belege eine objektive und sachliche Bewertung der Einsatzmöglichkeiten durchführen zu können. Weitgehend soll verdeutlicht werden, welche Faktoren über die Herstellungskosten hinaus, zur Bewertung additiver Fertigungsverfahren benötigt werden. Generative Fertigungsverfahren ist der Oberbegriff für verschiedene additive Fertigungen mit allen Variationen von 3D-Drucksystemen. Die additive Fertigung mit Kunststoffen, Metallen und Keramik sind vor allem in der Industrie mittlerweile unentbehrlich. Die additive Fertigung verzeichnet seit ihrer Entwicklung starke Wachstumsraten.
