About The Book

Wu Shen Pai Kenpo is a synthesis of Sibok Jones training experiences that is based on the duality of opposites in the universe. The hard striking aspects of the Kenpo system are combined with pressure point theory, joint manipulation, internal Chi development exercises, and many other aspects of training to produce a balanced system of martial art that is among the most comprehensive arts in the world. Sibok Jones is a founding member of the United Martial Arts Teachers Association, a professional standards and certifying body for the teachers of all martial arts. He is a life member of the United States Martial Arts Association and of the Founders Union of the International Combat Arts Federation. Sibok Jones is certifi ed as a Diplomate in Oriental Medicine and continues to study the healing arts avidly. In the competitive arena, Professor Jones is a fi ve time world champion self defense competitor who has won many national and regional tournaments including the San Diego Grand Nationals. Sibok Jones has been elected to the U.S.M.A. Hall of Fame three times. In 2000, he was awarded the Author of the Year while in 2002, Professor Jones was awarded Master Instructor of the Year. In 2003, he was awarded the U.S.M.A. Silver Life Achievement Award for more than 30 years of service to the martial arts. Professor Jones was recognized for his teaching excellence in 2004 when he was awarded the Instructor of the Year by the United Martial Arts Alliance. Sibok Jones is much in demand as a seminar instructor and teacher. His students are renown for their explosive speed and power in the execution of their techniques. Sibok Jones is a professional educator, academic, and a martial artist who is on the faculty of the University of Nevada, Las Vegas, and the Community College of Southern Nevada. Sibok Jones and his wife Kristine make their home in Las Vegas, Nevada where he is the Chief Instructor for East West Kenpo Karate Studios. He has founded the International Kenpo Karate Society to regulate the affairs of his art and he serves as its President. This book is the first of a three volume set on the advanced aspects of the art of Wu Shen Pai Kenpo. It is certain to be a vital addition to any martial arts library.
