He holds a Ph.D. in mechanical engineering with a specialization in advanced manufacturing, a master's in computer-integrated manufacturing, and a bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering. He has more than fifteen years of professional academic and research experience. His research interests include advanced machining processes, sustainable manufacturing, precision engineering, and industry 4.0. Prof. Gupta is a recognized researcher by the National Research Foundation of South Africa and an active member of various professional engineering institutions.
