The book begins with a detailed discussion of the kinematics and geometry of geometrically-accurate gears and gear systems. This is followed by an analysis of state-of-the-art gear manufacturing methods with focus on gear finishing operations. Novel designs of gear transmission systems as well as gear theory and gear cutting tool design are also covered.

Dr. Stephen P. Radzevich (editor) is a Professor of Mechanical Engineering. He received the M.Sc. (1976), the Ph.D. (1982), and the Dr.(Eng)Sc. (1991) - all in mechanical engineering. He authored over 45 monographs, handbooks, and textbooks. He also authored and co-authored about 350 scientific papers and holds over 260 patents on invention in the field, both, USA patents and international patents.

Dr. Michael Storchak (editor) is a senior researcher of Mechanical Engineering. He received the Dipl.-Eng. in 1974 and the Dr.-Eng. (Ph.D.) in 1984, both in mechanical engineering, and the Dr. Sc. degree (1994) in Manufacturing Engineering. Dr. Storchak has authored a monograph, and over 150 scientific papers published in topnotch international journals. He also holds over 50 patents on inventions.
