Im Verlauf der Arbeit werden folgende Gesichtspunkte näher beleuchtet: - Wie kam es zum Krieg in Afghanistan? - Wie entwickelte sich der Kriegsverlauf und welche politischen Geschehnisse waren in diesem Zeitraum für das Land von Bedeutung? - Welche Interessen anderer Nationen standen mit Afghanistan unmittelbar in Verbindung, die den Kriegsverlauf und den Wiederaufbau beeinflussten? - Wie war die Situation in Afghanistan vor den Präsidentschaftswahlen 2004 im Hinblick auf - die dortigen Machtverhältnisse - die Sicherheit - die Situation in der Übergangsregierung - die Einstellung der Bevölkerung zum Antiterrorkrieg und - die Lebensbedingungen der Bevölkerung Diese Punkte werden folgenden Frage gegenübergestellt: - Wie war die Situation nach den Präsidentschaftswahlen in Bezug auf - die Machtverhältnisse im Land - die Sicherheit - die Situation in der Regierung und - die Lage und Einstellung der Bevölkerung Als Abschluss soll ein Ausblick auf die zukünftige Entwicklung Afghanistans gewagt werden.
