Weitere Risikofaktoren sind unvollständige und wechselnde Anforderungen, sowie mangelnde Einbeziehung der Anwender. Wird Projekterfolg an Enddatum und Budget gemessen, waren 1994 nur etwa 16% aller IT-Projekte erfolgreich. Obwohl dieser Anteil bis 2004 auf 29% gestiegen ist, waren doch immer noch mehr als 2/3 Projekten nicht erfolgreich. Um Projekte erfolgreicher abzuschlie en, den Menschen wieder in den Mittelpunkt der Softwareentwicklung zu rücken und für hohe Arbeitsmoral und gutes Betriebsklima zu sorgen, setzen viele Unternehmen auf agiles Projektmanagement. Im September 2006 verwendeten bereits 17% der Unternehmen in Nordamerika und Europa agile Prozesse. Hält der Trend an, wird dieser Anteil 2008 auf fast 25% steigen. In jeweils über 30% aller Unternehmen arbeiten entweder mehr als 75% oder nur bis zu 25% aller Entwickler agil. Agilität polarisiert also: Sie wird entweder unternehmensweit oder nur vereinzelt eingesetzt. Unternehmen mit weniger als 100 Entwicklern stellen dabei bezüglich des weitreichenden Einsatzes den grö ten Anteil. 44% aller Unternehmen werten über 90% ihrer agilen Projekte als Erfolg. Weitere 33% nennen eine Erfolgsquote von 75-90%. Mehr als die Hälfte der Unternehmen, deren Entwicklungsprozess agil ist, verwendet 3-4 PM-Tools. Ein solches Tool ist Projektron BCS, die "Business Coordination Software" der Projektron GmbH. Motiviert durch die Diskrepanz zwischen der zunehmenden Verbreitung von agilem PM und den Berichten über häufiges Scheitern von IT-Projekten wird untersucht, inwiefern agiles Arbeiten mit Projektron BCS möglich ist. Daher analysiert die Arbeit den agilen Prozess und den Einsatz von Projektron
