Dabei gehart diese Zwischenschicht und mit ihr die Agnosie zweifellos in den Bereich der psychischen Leistungen, aber - und das macht ihre Bedeutung aus - diese Leistungen werden an umschrie- bener Stelle des Gehirns lokalisiert gedacht. Wenn diese Annahme richtig ware, so wiirde dies beweisen, daB psychische V organge in einzelne, isolierte Elemente zerlegbar, und diese elementaren psychischen Funktionen isoliert und im Gehirn lokalisiert werden kannen, das dann zu einem Konglomerat vieler Einzelorgane fiir diese verschiedenen seelischen Elementarfunktionen wiirde. Fiir diese Denk- richtung, die die klassische Hirnpathologie beherrscht vom ersten Versuch Galls iiber Meynerts Lehrbuch der Psychiatrie mit dem Untertitel "Klinik der Erkran- 121 kungen des Vorderhirns " bis zur Vollendung in der Hirnkarte Kleists101, ist die Agnosie in der Tat von unersetzlicher Wichtigkeit.
