Dabei dient die digitalisierte Welt und der Wandel hin zu virtuellen Aktivitäten exemplarisch als Beschreibungsobjekt. Am Beispiel der professionellen E-Athleten (sogenannte Cyberathleten, die professionell in kompetativen elektronischen Sportarten gegeneinander antreten) werden exemplarisch die beiden wichtigsten Akteurmodelle daran veranschaulicht behandelt. Die Betrachtung umfasst hierbei den Homo Oeconomicus und den Homo Sociologicus. Innerhalb einer differenzierten Auseinandersetzung mit den jeweiligen Handlungserklärungen werden beide Modelle auf ihre Aussagekraft bezüglich der Handlungsmotivationen von E-Athleten untersucht. Ein kritischer Diskurs nimmt au erdem eine Betrachtung der Akteurkonstellation (am Beispiel einer wechselseitigen Beobachtung) vor. Diese strukturelle Betrachtung umfasst den Themenkomplex des "Meta-Gamings", also der strategischen Planung und Vorabbeobachtung von künftigen Konkurrenten in sportlichen Situationen. Analog zu Vorbereitungen von professionellen Sportlern spielt dieser Aspekt bei den E-Athleten eine mindestens genauso wichtige Rolle. Zusammengefasst zielt die Hausarbeit dabei auf eine detaillierte Beschreibung der wichtigsten Akteurmodelle, ihrer Aussagekraft für virtuelle Welten und der Handlungserklärung von Akteuren in diesen sozialen Umwelten ab. Dabei wird zum einen die zeitgemä e Aussagekraft der Akteurmodelle und zum anderen die schematische Differenzierung der einzelnen Themenfelder und Handlungsmotivationen innerhalb dieser Felder betrachtet.
