In this fourth book of Jaimini Series, the author presents for the first time the English translation of Sri Akumalla Nrusimha Suri's Sutrarthaprakashika and a different version of Sri Lakshmana Suri's Jyotihpradeepika which would be a significant addition to the extant Jaimini literature. While the Sutrarthaprakashika is an exposition on the Jaimini Sutras composed in Shlokas, the version of Jyotihpradeepika is a commentary on the Jaimini Sutras in Sanskrit prose, referring to the Vruddhakarikas at some places. Both of them approach the matter in a similar way.

Sutrarthaprakashika and Jyotihpradeepika, though having some overlap in concepts with other standard text, also have some major variations and subtle differences. Some of the characteristic features of the Sutrarthaprakashika and Jyotihpradeepika include: (i) definition of the Karakamsa; (ii) definition of the Upa-Pada; (iii) definition of the Brahma planet; (iv) two variation of the Pada Dasa/Padanavamsa Dasa; (v) the Mandooka Dasa; (vi) the Yogardha Dasa; and (vii) Predicting the results of Vimshottari Dasa, and so on, besides many minor but significant differences in concepts.

The book is presented in a structured way including extensive notes and alternative interpretations of the Sutras made in other commentaries. Case studies have also been provided wherever demonstration of the concepts is required, particularly in the context of various Dasas. The instructions of a Dasa discussed at various instances in the text are summarized at one place in the form of rules of that Dasa for easy reference of the readers. A total of eleven Ayurdasas and eleven Phalitadasas have been discussed in this book extensively.
