Este poemario, aun cargado de corrientes espirituales, es tambi�n profundamente pol�tico: no porque proclame, sino porque registra el costo �ntimo de existir en lo que ahoga y obliga a rebelarse. En sus im�genes -ese matadero, ese hundimiento en los ladrillos, ese paisaje de intemperie- se escucha a Cuba, a la familia sobreviviendo en el desgaste y la precariedad. MILADIS HERN�NDEZ ACOSTA (Guant�namo, Cuba, 1968) es poeta, ensayista, cr�tica y editora. Licenciada en Historia por la Universidad de Oriente, ha construido una amplia y reconocida trayectoria en la poes�a contempor�nea. Es autora de numerosos poemarios publicados en Cuba, Espa�a, Chile, Alemania y Estados Unidos, entre ellos Bosque de T�rnow, El oro del imperio, La confesi�n infinita, La sombra que pasa y Memorias del abismo. En ensayo ha publicado Las n�ufragas porf�as. Su obra ha sido incluida en diversas antolog�as internacionales y difundida en revistas literarias de Am�rica y Europa. Ha obtenido importantes reconocimientos, como los premios Regino E. Boti, Manuel Navarro Luna y Jos� Mar�a Heredia, y ha participado en festivales internacionales de poes�a.
