Se è vero che, come cita la più classica delle formule alchemiche nel celebre testo ermetico Magnus Opus, questa è la trasmutazione del vile metallo in oro, allora è pur verosimile che il processo meditativo alchemico è ciò che realizza nel praticante la pietra filosofale vivente.

Nella meditazione agiscono le medesime forze, si sviluppano i medesimi processi, si dissolvono le medesime strutture e si ricompone tutto in un'entità superiore, eccelsa, divina. Il percorso meditativo di ricerca interiore può, alle volte, passare anche per conoscenze antiche: queste non sono altro che la saggezza originaria. Se il mondo esteriore è metafora del mondo interiore e ne è lo specchio perfetto, possiamo agire nel piccolo per muovere il grande. L'alchimia spirituale non è altro che questo, la si può chiamare magia oppure no, dipende solo da quanto siamo romantici.
Il Cercatore Della Via Interiore, l'Alchimista Spirituale, è una figura quasi allegorica, un aspetto interiore della persona che si sviluppa in segreto, in un effimero laboratorio alchemico che si rivela essere la sua stessa persona, trasmutata, questa, da Uomo Incosciente di sé a Cercatore Alchimista che riconosce e condivide la Coscienza Universale.
Quando si parla di trasmutazione del vile metallo in oro, si parla esattamente di questo: l'antica evoluzione spirituale umana dall'ignoranza di sé all'essere senziente, illuminato. Questo è propriamente un percorso Alchemico, dove ogni passo e ogni gesto compongono ogn'istante il Cammino Interiore verso l'antica saggezza, verso l'elevazione dello Spirito, verso l'Espansione della Coscienza.
