Cesare Parenti

Nato a Bologna nel 1942; Laurea "cum laude" in Matematica presso l'Università di Bologna nel 1967; Professore ordinario di Analisi Matematica dal 1975 al 1978 presso l'Università di Ferrara, e dal 1978 al 2010 presso l'Università di Bologna, attualmente in pensione. È stato "visiting professor" presso diverse istituzioni straniere (Università di Chicago, Università di Rennes, Università di Nantes, Università di Tokyo, Banach Center dell'Università di Varsavia). Le sue ricerche si svolgono prevalentemente in analisi geometrica delle equazioni alle derivate parziale.

Alberto Parmeggiani

Nato a Bologna nel 1963; Laurea "cum laude" in Matematica presso l'Università di Bologna nel 1986; Ph.D. in Mathematics presso la Princeton University nel 1993; Professore Ordinario di Analisi Matematica dal 2001 a tutt'oggi presso l'Università di Bologna. È stato "visiting professor" presso diverse istituzioni straniere (Kyushu University, Institut Mittag-Leffler, Université de Reims, Universidade da São Paulo, Tokyo Institute of Technology) e conferenzieri a numerosi convegni internazionali. Le sue ricerche si svolgono prevalentemente in analisi geometrica delle equazioni alle derivate parziale ed in analisi spettrale.
