Ihre Anwendung ist zwar grundsiitzlich nicht auf elektroteohnische Aufgaben besohrankt, hat sioh aber auf diesem Gebiet als not- wendiger und fruchtbringender erwiesen als in der Mechanik, so daB ihre Beherr- schung zum unentbehrlichen Riistzeug fiir den wissenschaftlich arbeitenden Elektro- techniker geworden ist. Sie gelten dabei unverandert fiir alle Frequenzbereiche von 2 der niederfrequenten Bahnversorgung mit 16 / Hertz iiber den tonfrequenten Be- 3 reich von einigen Rundert bis zu einigen Tausend Hz bis zu den eigentlichen Hoch- frequenzvorgiingen von etwa 20 kHz bis zu einigen 1000 MHz. Es schien deshalb angemessen, die gemeinsamen' Grundlagen fiir alle Arbeits- gebiete des Elektrotechnikers 8US der Energieversorgung wie aus der Nachrichten- technik zusammenfassend darzustellen und aufzuzeigen, wie aus der gemeinsamen Wurzel 8010her mathematischer Behandlungsverfahren die speziellen Losungen fiir aIle Einzelfiille hervorgehen. DaB soIl im vorliegenden Buch geschehen. Es beschriinkt sich im er8ten Band auf alle die Vorgiinge, bei denen die Ausbreitungsgeschwindig- keit der elektromagnetischen Vorgiinge im Raum noch keine merkliche Rolle spielt, also die quasistationaren Vorgiinge, wiihrend der in Vorbereitung befindliche zweite Band dieser allgemeinen Wechselstromlehre den Leitungen und den Wellen- vorgangen gewidmet sein soli. bei denen diese Ausbreitungsfragen von groBter - deutung sind. .
