Vechta, Sprache: Deutsch, Abstract: Leer ist eine Stadt in Ostfriesland im Landkreis Leer in Niedersachsen (Deutschland). Der Landkreis Leer liegt im südlichen Teil Ostfrieslands. Er stö t im Westen an die Niederlande und den Dollart, im Norden. Weiterhin wird er vom Auricher-, im Osten vom Oldenburger- und im Süden vom Emsland begrenzt. Im Kreisgebiet leben rund 162.000 Einwohner und es umfasst eine Fläche von 1.100 Quadratkilometern. Die Hafenstadt Leer mit rund 34.000 Einwohnern ist das Verwaltungszentrum des Landkreises. Der Leeraner Stadtteil Loga liegt im Osten der Stadt Leer und gehört zu den grö eren Stadtteilen. Dort befindet sich auch die seit dem Schuljahr 2004/2005 bestehende Realschule "xxxschule", die zuvor eine Orientierungsstufe war. Für eine Stadt dieser Grö enordnung verfügt Leer über eine au ergewöhnliche Anzahl an sehenswerten Parks und darüber hinaus über reizvolle Landschaften im Stadtrandbereich. Viele dieser Grünflächen befinden sich in unmittelbarer Nähe der xxxschule, zum Beispiel der Phillipsburger Park (50 Meter), der Julianenpark (500 Meter) und der Schlosspark der Evenburg (1,5 km). Sie eignen sich ideal für Waldexkursionen. Als au erschulischer Lernstandort wird auch der ca. 3 km lange LEER-Pfad der Stadt von Schulen, insbesondere der xxxschule, besonders gerne genutzt. Die Themen finden in den unterschiedlichsten Unterrichtsfächern Anklang. Zurzeit befinden sich insgesamt 11 LEER-Pfad- Stationen in der Leeraner Innenstadt, welche nach dem Motto "Staunen - Begreifen - Nachahmen" aufgebaut sind. Sie sollen den Schülern Informationen über die Natur vermitteln und Handlungsimpulse für eine umweltfreundliche Zukunft auslösen. Des Weiteren liegt im Zentrum der Stadt ein Hallen- und Freibad, welches regelmä ig für den Sportunterricht der Realschule genutzt wird. [...]
