She cut me off with a scoff, "Proposal?" She crossed her arms over her chest as if she was going to reject it immediately, but I pressed on with my proposition.

If you weren't the person who saved my life and provided me with a place to stay, I would slap you for humiliating me like this. Don't you care about me at all?" She lifted her eyebrows in question.
"I'm sorry, I do care. But sleeping with you doesn't make you my mate and doesn't mean I would desert my Luna for just three sensual nights," I explained simply and honestly, sharing the thoughts that had been circling in my head. She needed to let go of dreams that would never be reality.
