Pedro Lapa est le directeur artistique du Mus�e Cole��o Berardo et est �galement professeur � la Facult� de Lettres de l'Universit� de Lisbonne, o� il a obtenu son doctorat en Histoire de l'Art. Il a organis� de nombreuses expositions parmi lesquelles Picabia au Centre Culturel de Bel�m, � Lisbonne en 1997; Amadeo de Souza-Cardoso, au Mus�e Pouchkine, � Moscou en 2003; James Coleman, au Mus�e National d'Art Contemporain � Lisbonne, en 2004; Cinco Pintores da Modernidade Portuguesa ( Cinq peintres de la modernit� portugaise ) � La Fondation Caixa Catalunga, � Barcelone, ainsi qu'au Mus�e d'Art Moderne de S�o Paulo. Il est aussi le co-auteur d'un catalogue raisonn� d�di� � l'oeuvre de Joaquim Rodrigo paru en 1999 et a publi� de nombreux ouvrages sur l'art moderne et contemporain. Parmi les plus r�cents: Pedro Barateiro, Fictionnalising the Object et Creating Other Links, publi�s aux �ditions Bom Dia Books en 2015, ainsi que History and Interregnum: Three Works by Stan Douglas, paru la m�me ann�e aux �ditions Archive Books.
