About The Book

'American Poetry in a Korean World' is a poetry collection intended to attempt to bridge the language 'gap' between English and Korean. As a Korean language learner and someone who has made several good long distance friendships and acquaintances with Koreans - and others of different nationalities - I wanted to take the poetic inspiration that I received from my friends and repay it. This repayment came in the form of translating my poems into Korean so that both Korean language learners and English language learners could share and potentially learn from the same book together - with feeling and meaning.

About The Author

Kim, Hyo Jin: - Kim Hyo Jin (김효진), also known as Chloe to everyone in ifland(TM), is a resident of Incheon, Gyeonggi-do, South Korea. She was one of the first people that DJ Reed met in that metaverse app and had become quick friends since. Talented, pioneering, and entrepreneurial, she accepted the challenge of reviewing DJ Reed's ATTEMPT at translating his own work into Korean. She promptly corrected his mistakes with the results being this publication 'American Poetry in a Korean World' (한국 세계 속의 미국 시) that you have today.

Reed, Dj: - A Bucks County, Pennsylvania resident, DJ Reed is a Philadelphia native having grown up in the Roxborough section of the city. He has Associates Degree in Computer Science from the Community College of Philadelphia and Bachelors Degree in Technology Management from DeVry University.DJ has served as a copy and content editor for several editions of the science fiction fanzine, Norman, as well as content and layout editor for multiple event programs. Images: An Original Poem Collection is his first personal publication and poetry collection which he self-published (under his real name David J Reed) in 2018 through Amazon's self-publishing services.DJ also works as a Voice Actor in the entertainment industry as well as a Social Media and SEO promoter on the internet. He has a special interest in learning Korean and has been lucky to make some good friends in South Korea in the process.
