K.L. Hiers, surnommée Kat, est à la fois embaumeuse, artiste en restauration et écrivaine de LGBT. Diplômée en direction de funérarium et en service funéraire, elle a travaillé comme employée de pompes funèbres pendant près d'une décennie. Sa vraie passion a toujours été de raconter des histoires et elle s'y adonne depuis plus de vingt ans, avec de premiers écrits à l'âge de huit ans.
