Janet's best stories include that of building duct-tape cleavage for the Miner and Trappers' Ball, takes the reader along on one woman's Alaska experience. In Alaska there are only two directions, forward or out. It's not necessary to be brave or smart or rich, only to move into the unknown. Janet was privileged to travel to many once-in-a-lifetime/off limits places in Alaska, under uncommon circumstances. Many of these experiences occurred before the world stood on its ear with changes and limits imposed by the turn of the century. With all kinds of action, a sense of humor, and some fear, we hope you enjoy the ride.

Highlights There are margins in this world, flying helicopters tests those margins. I was in south Alaska, hundreds of miles from the smallest town, and I wasn't sure I was actually on a road-any road. You are going north to Alaska to work on the Trans-Alaska Pipeline construction site. -- I had no clue as to where or what. It didn't matter.
