ENGLISH Japan never leaves you indifferent. Its surface, the only part she reveals to us, Is one of unbound curiosity, a subtle mixture of multiple textures of our senses, a harmonic condensate of inexplicable feelings, something archi textural. From such a textural anarchy, one can only express in silence, an emptiness that is complete. Such silence, of things unsaid, reveals the depth of Japan's culture and people in the purest of forms. "An archi textural - Japan" is a first photographic essay dealing with the textural anarchy of Japan, evoking within us refined yet limitless emotions.

Laurent Jalabert is a french research engineer at CNRS, and photographer. He started photography 1998 with Jean-Luc Aribaud (poetry/photography - Toulouse). He was selected for the Off of Printemps de Septembre de Toulouse (France) in 2005 (Tirage Limite 4, Galerie Can'Art), with photos of building a "clean room" (the one of LAAS-CNRS, Toulouse), a philosophical essay about the future of technology. He was awarded with the Basane d'Or of Graulhet in 2005 (triptych in black and white) coupling twin photos of french school ballet with street view of La Havane, to reveal a kind of empty feeling when seeing the photos, emptiness resulting of extreme feelings.
