His fluency in English, Italian, and French underscores his international reach. Currently, he holds the esteemed full-time position of Professor of Industrial Design at the Savannah College of Art and Design (SCAD) in Savannah, Georgia, USA, a role he has embraced since 2017. Concurrently, he is the founder and principal of Joneso Design, a product design consulting firm.Prof. Songwe's academic journey began with a Bachelor of Fine Arts (BFA) degree in industrial design and visual communication from the prestigious Istituto Superiore per le Industrie Artistiche (ISIA) in Rome, Italy.
