ELECTRICAL DISCHARGE MACHINING (EDM) This book is meant for the students, research scholars and teachers using EDM process. The author presented the detailed study of Input energy parameters include peak current, pulse duration and polarity. Output in the form of surface integrity has been explained in detail, which includes surface roughness, micro hardness and microstructure. In order to improve the technological performance during EDM process it is essential to understand the formation of cracks, distribution of cracks, size of the cracks, and the structure of cracks to distinguish between fatigue cracks and EDM cracks. The amount of energy available for this process is generated through plasma. Account of the total energy input and out put is explained. It is an ideal text book on practical EDM.
