Der Text ist aus einer Vorlesung hervorgegangen und be handelt daher nicht aIle Bereiche der Geochemie in gleicher In tensitat. GemaB dem Titel wird der Gesamtbereich der Organi schen Geochemie nicht behandelt. Weite Bereiche der Petrolo gie, wie rum Beispiel der Magmatismus, werden ebenfalls nicht behandelt. Hierzu sind in letzter Zeit eine Reihe spezieller Bu cher erschienen. Die in den Kapiteln angefuhrte Literatur ist uberwiegend aus jungerer Zeit. Fur ein vertiefendes Studium wird auf die dortigen Literaturzitate verwiesen. Es ist bewuBt das SI-System benutzt worden. ledoch sind in den Abbildungen wie auch im Text zur Vereinfachung die mei sten Angaben parallel dazu im CGS-System angefuhrt. Die Pa ralleliUU der Systeme soIl es dem Studierenden erleichtern, sich in das SI-System einzulesen. Der Zweck der Anorganischen Geochemie ist nicht, vor handene Bucher zur Geochemie zu ersetzen, sondern das vor handene Spektrum durch eine veranderte Art der Darstellung zu erganzen. Daher wird dem Studierenden empfohlen, neben dem vorliegenden Text noch die empfohlene vertiefende Lite ratur zur Erweiterung des Verstandnisses heranzuziehen."
