À l'heure où nous sommes de plus en plus sollicités par la littérature-monde de langue française, qu'est-ce que la poésie acadienne, et quelle en est la spécificité? Les 50 poètes de cette anthologie d'éditeurs sont nés entre 1884 et 1983; la plupart ont vu le jour ou élu domicile dans la région atlantique du Canada. D'autres vivent en Louisiane. Tous partagent la même chose: la langue française et ses multiples variantes en usage dans la microsociété acadienne. Cette anthologie se veut en quelque sorte la carte de visite -- et l'invitation au voyage -- d'une petite maison d'édition qui se consacre témérairement à faire connaitre la poésie acadienne aux francophones et aux francophiles du monde entier. Jean-Philippe Raîche est né à Petit-Rocher, au Nouveau-Brunswick. Il vit à Paris depuis 1996. Membre fondateur de La Nouvelle Pléiade, il a reçu le prix Aliénor et le prix Louise-Labé. Serge Patrice Thibodeau est né à Rivière-Verte, au Nouveau-Brunswick. Essayiste, auteur de récits de voyage et poète, il a reçu entre autres le prix Émile-Nelligan et, à deux reprises, le Prix du Gouverneur général du Canada. Il est le directeur littéraire des Éditions Perce-Neige, à Moncton.

About The Author

Thibodeau, Serge Patrice: - Serge Patrice Thibodeau compte parmi les écrivains majeurs de l'Acadie contemporaine. Auteur de livres de poésie, de récits de voyage et d'essais, il a reçu plusieurs distinctions, notamment le prix Émile-Nelligan (1992) et le Prix littéraire du Gouverneur général (1996 et 2007). Après avoir vécu une vingtaine d'années à Montréal et voyagé dans plusieurs pays du monde, et depuis son retour au Nouveau- Brunswick en 2005, il dirige les Éditions Perce-Neige, à Moncton. En 2014, Serge Patrice Thibodeau a été nommé Chevalier de l'ordre des Arts et des Lettres de la République française, en reconnaissance de ses vingt-cinq ans d'activités en faveur de la défense de la francophonie. Serge Patrice Thibodeau a été nommé membre de l'Ordre du Canada en 2015 pour son apport à la littérature acadienne en tant que poète et directeur des Éditions Perce-Neige.
