Giddens, 1981:89). Er unterscheidet bereits zwischen der Sozialtheorie und Soziologie und w hrend letztere sich allein der Analyse der modernen Gesellschaft widmet, hat die Sozialtheorie f r s mtliche Fragen zum menschlichen Handeln sowie zu sozialen Institutionen Relevanz. Seine Theorie der Strukturierung soll die Sozialwissenschaft in einen allgemeinen methodologischen Rahmen neu fundieren. Ausgangspunkt sei dabei die Frage nach Verh ltnis von Individuum und Gesellschaft im Zuge der Konstitution einer sozialen Ordnung. Giddens kritisiert ltere Sozial- und Gesellschaftstheorien, die nicht in der Lage seien, individuelles Handeln angemessen in ihrer wechselseitigen Abh ngigkeit zu begreifen. Mit seiner Theorie versucht er die objektivistischen Positionen mit ihrer Ansicht, dass der Mensch ein hilfloses "Opfer" berm chtiger strukturell-gesellschaftlicher Kr fte oder M chte sei, und das Subjektivismus, wo der Mensch, der als Sch pfer seiner gesellschaftlichen Lebenszusammenh nge erscheint, im Mittelpunkt steht, zu verbinden. Er schreibt: "Mit der Formulierung der Theorie der Strukturierung m chte ich den Dualismus von Objektivismus und Subjektivismus berwinden" (Giddens 1988:52). Dieses berwindet er mit dem Theorem der Dualit t von Handlung und Struktur, dem ich mich im ersten Teil dieser Arbeit widme. Dabei stehen vor allem folgende Fragen im Mittelpunkt: Welcher Zusammenhang besteht zwischen individuellen Handlungen und sozialer Struktur? Wie entsteht Struktur aus Handlungen, wenn Handlungen an Strukturen ausgerichtet sind? Im zweiten Teil befasse ich mich mit dem sozialen Wandel aus
