Prior to this, he served as a Senior Assistant Professor in the Department of Computer Science, University of Kashmir. He also worked as an Assistant Professor at the College of Computer Science, University of Jizan, Saudi Arabia, and as a Research Scientist for the NMEICT-Edrp project sponsored by the Ministry of HRD, Government of India.
