A muchos de ellos este descubrimiento, que debería ser jubiloso, les fue esquivo, complejo, hasta doloroso y la más de las veces la raíz del desencuentro con esta labor se debió a centrar la mirada tan solo en la dificultad del aprendiz sin dimensionar la dificultad del enseñante.

Surgen así una serie de preguntas acerca de cómo el adulto concibe el error, la corrección, el tiempo del aprendizaje, el aprendizaje de la cursiva, la prevención de los problemas de aprendizaje, el diagnóstico temprano, la patologización de la infancia. Se trata de poner en cuestión la enseñanza de la escritura como producto social, de pensar las concepciones desde donde se la convalida o se la refuta, de cuestionar las teorías, las representaciones y las creencias que circulan como certezas instituidas en lo cotidiano.
