This stunning new offering from the Welcome to the Museum series celebrates trees from around the world and sheds light on the vital role they play in maintaining a healthy, thriving planet. Featuring expert text from Tony Kirkham and stunning illustrations from Katie Scott, this volume introduces you to everything from trees associated with ancient mythology to the rarest and most unusual specimens. Meet mighty oaks, towering redwoods, and ancient ginkos as you trace the astounding complexities in a vast variety of trees.

Tony Kirkham, MBE, VMH, cared for the Royal Botanic Gardens, Kew, collection of 14,000 trees for more than forty years, retiring in 2021 as Head of Arboretum, Gardens, and Horticulture Services. He was awarded the Royal Horticultural Society's Victoria Medal of Honor in 2019. He has written and coauthored numerous books on trees, has been featured on TV programs with Judi Dench, and has presented two television series for the BBC. Tony Kirkham lives in England.

Katie Scott graduated from University of Brighton in 2011. Her work draws influences from traditional medical and botanical illustration in both aesthetic and subject matter. It also plays with the ideas of scientific uncertainty and speculation, fabricating the inner and outer workings of the world. Her illustrations depict a familiar yet fantasy vision of plants, humans, and minerals. Katie Scott lives in England.
