In dit prentenboek voor kinderen van 0 tot 12 jaar, maakt de jonge lezer kennis met de honingpotmier. Honingpotmieren leven in een droog klimaat zoals bijvoorbeeld in de woestijn. Ze hebben unieke overlevingsvaardigheden en een instinct om te sparen in de lente wanneer voedsel rijkelijk aanwezig is. Via Arid het Honingpotmiertje wil de auteur kinderen introduceren tot het concept van 'sparen'. Dit boek illustreert hoe de honingpotmier daarmee omgaat.

Tina Fitzgerald zorgt voltijds voor haar twee jonge kinderen. Ze werkte meer dan 10 jaar in de financi�le sector, maar besloot loopbaanonderbreking te nemen met de komst van haar tweede kindje in 2019. Naast het mama zijn is Tina in avond- en afstandsonderwijs blijven verder studeren. Ze startte een specialisatieopleiding in vermogensbeheer. Haar kinderen zijn haar grootste inspiratiebron die het idee tot schrijven vorm hebben gegeven met als resultaat dit prachtig ge�llustreerde prentenboek.
