Als Einstieg und Grundlage wird dabei eine auf Deutschland bezogene Armutsdefinition verwendet. Anschlie end wird kurz erl�utert, welche Lebensformen generell von Armut betroffen sind, um dann in Kapitel 3, was die zentrale Analyse der nachfolgenden Arbeit darstellt, die Gruppe der Alleinerziehenden anhand von Merkmalen zu charakterisieren und im zweiten Schritt die finanzielle Situation und deren Ursachen zu untersuchen. Abschlie end werden die Ergebnisse zusammengefasst. Alleinerziehend = arm, so lautet h�ufig die Gleichung alleinerziehender M�tter. Der Hollywood-Film Erin Brockovich r�ckte 2000 alleinerziehende M�tter eindrucksvoll in den Fokus der �ffentlichkeit und untermauerte diese Gleichung. In der Verfilmung mit Julia Roberts in der oscarpr�mierten Hauptrolle ging es um die gleichnamige Erin Brockovich, eine arbeitslose alleinerziehende Mutter dreier Kinder, und ihr Leben. Finanziell war sie keineswegs abgesichert, ja sogar in einer �u erst prek�ren Lage. Hierbei stellt sich deshalb allgemein die Frage, inwieweit Alleinerziehende auch in Deutschland armutsgef�hrdet sind und wie sich die finanzielle Situation Alleinerziehender darstellt. Unterscheiden sich Alleinerziehenden-Haushalten g�nzlich von denen anderer Lebensformen hinsichtlich der Armutsgef�hrdung und welche Faktoren beg�nstigen Prekarit�t?
