Studienarbeit aus dem Jahr 2006 im Fachbereich Geschichte Europas - Mittelalter, Frühe Neuzeit, Note: 2,0, Technische Universität Dresden, Sprache: Deutsch, Abstract: Das Thema meiner Hausarbeit "Armutsstreit bei den Franziskanern" spielt für die Betrachtung der verschiedenen Bettelorden insofern eine wichtige Rolle, als es innerhalb des Bettelordens der Franziskaner nach dem Tod des Ordensgründers Franz von Assisi zum Streit über die Auslegung des Armutsideals kam, welcher letztendlich zur Spaltung des Ordens führte. Im Rahmen meiner Hausarbeit möchte ich die Frage beantworten, wie der Verlauf des Armutsstreits zu charakterisieren ist. Dabei werde ich sowohl auf die Ursachen des Streits um das Armutsprinzip als auch auf dessen Auswirkungen eingehen. In meine Betrachtungen lasse ich ebenso die Ordensgründung wie auch Statistiken und Aufzeichnungen, welche abschlie end im Anhang zu finden sind, zur praktischen Umsetzung des Armutsideals einflie en. Die Auffassung, man könne nur in freiwilliger Armut ein wirklich glücklich und gotterfülltes Leben führen, erscheint mir im Vorhinein doch recht schwierig nachvollziehbar. Denn ich kann mir nur schwer vorstellen, dass der alleinige Glaube an Gott und die Hoffnung auf seine Unterstützung reichen, um sich für ein Leben in Armut zu entscheiden, wenn man doch immer von den Almosen anderer Menschen abhängig ist. Meine erste Assoziation zu diesem Thema befasst sich eher mit der Angst vor der ungewissen Zukunft und dem ständigen Gefühl der Abhängigkeit. Mit Hilfe meiner Literaturrecherche werde ich auch die Einstellung der Menschen, die sich aus tiefem Glauben heraus für die freiwillige Armut entschieden haben, reflektieren, um so einen Einblick zu gewinnen, inwiefern die Religiosität bei einigen strengen Gläubigen über der Zukunftsangst stand und bei anderen wiederum zur teilweisen Abkehr des Armutsideals führte.
