Written in 1888, it represents the evolving nature of boxing of this period which included a wide array of grapples of the London Prize Ring rule-set as well as Marquis of Queensbury rules we know today.

This illustrated guide explores everything from diet and nutrition, through to ring strategy, techniques, tactics, and ring rules. Billy and Arthur are seen in a variety of engraved poses and sequences that bring to life their in-depth knowledge of pugilism and ringcraft.
