About The Author

Ndayambaje Elie: - Elie Ndayambaje fut bourgmestre de la commune de Muganza, dans la préfecture de Butare (1983-1992), démissionna de ce poste pour poursuivre ses études à l'université de Butare. Avec le génocide de 1994, l'Université cessa de fonctionner et il fut encore nommé bourgmestre fin juin 1994, poste qu'il n'eut pas eu le temps d'assumer puisque le FPR prit le contrôle du pays. Avec sa famille il s'installa en Belgique où il fut dénoncé, arrêté et détenu par la justice belge avant d'être transféré au TPIR à Arusha où il vient d'être définitivement condamné à 47 ans de prison.
