Augustus Does His Bit is a satirical play written by George Bernard Shaw. The play is set during World War I and follows the story of Augustus, a wealthy and self-centered man who is drafted into the army. Despite his initial reluctance, Augustus eventually becomes a model soldier and rises through the ranks, gaining the respect of his fellow soldiers and superiors. The play is a biting commentary on the absurdity of war and the sacrifices made by those who are forced to fight it.
