Denn diese ist in der Regel die wesentliche Voraussetzung für Personen, durch die Sozialversicherung Leistungen beziehen zu können. Dies geschieht anhand ausgewählter Aspekte und ihrer Besonderheiten in den fünf jeweiligen Sparten des Sozialversicherungssystems in Deutschland. In den fünf Kapiteln wird so vorgegangen, dass der einzelne Zweig zunächst allgemein erläutert und im Folgenden dann die ausgewählten Aspekte des Sportbereichs für genau diesen Zweig beschrieben werden. Begonnen wird dabei mit der gesetzlichen Krankenversicherung. In Deutschland sind rund 23 Millionen Menschen regelmä ig mehrmals monatlich sportlich aktiv, wobei etwa 13 Millionen in Vereinen organisiert sind sowie ungefähr 13 Millionen Schulsport treiben. Dabei sind die Bedingungen der sportlichen Betätigung äu erst unterschiedlich und reichen vom Freizeitsport über Betriebssport und Amateurwettkämpfen bis zum professionellen Wettkampf, durch den Sportler und Trainer ihren Lebensunterhalt bestreiten. Darüber hinaus verletzen sich ca. 1,3 Millionen von den 23 Millionen Sporttreibenden pro Jahr so schwer, dass eine ärztliche Behandlung erfolgen muss. Dadurch entstehen die verschiedensten Sicherungsbedürfnisse von Personen, welchen die Sozialversicherung nachkommen muss.
