José Luis Velázquez Rodríguez, nacido en 1972 en Sevilla, residente en Las Cabezas de San Juan, trabaja en la actualidad y desde hace tiempo, en una farmacia, donde a simultaneado su profesión con la de escritor de ciencia ficción, poesía y ensayo. Casado, con tres hijos, aficionado al senderismo, a la lectura, al misterio, entre otras aficiones, se presenta como una revelación, por la hondura espiritual de sus textos. Autor de libros de ciencia ficción y fantasía, así como de poesía. También de relatos cortos y de ensayos. Títulos como El fantasma sin memoria, Eterno retorno, El Bosque Negro, Planeta Prisión, Pedazos del alma, Retazos, Cantos de amor y desamor, Avatares, Despertares, entre otros, está en su haber. Todas sus narraciones, poemas y escritos, en general, tienen un cariz espiritual, psicológico, filosófico. El autor no concibe escribir por el mero entretenimiento, sino por la necesidad de descubrirse a sí mismo y ayudar a los demás a que hagan lo mismo. Todo debe tener un sentido, una moraleja, una lección, aunque fuere la carencia del mismo al final del viaje de la lectura y de la escritura.
