Awake Eternal is an adult science fiction, cyberpunk novel. Vard ger confronts the human existential crisis through the lens of a futuristic world where humans and machines cohabitate.

The year is 2199, only days away from the new millennium. On Earth, there is a fragile peace that has lasted nearly 25 years since the war. Those who survived the chaos cling to the hope of one day escaping the dying planet.

The last war was the first fought alongside machines, sentient beings designed to kill. It was their minds that freed them to kill so efficiently. They were conscious.

After the war, the machines were remodeled, dumbed down, and controlled. Now, hundreds of thousands of subservient human-like robots co-populate the planet. The humans call them sleepwalkers, unaware, soulless.

Against the laws designed to protect humanity, two sentient beings were awoken in hopes that they might lead the way. They are undocumented, untraceable, and unbound by the Laws of Robotics. With free will, the ability to choose, to deceive, and to kill, they may be the only salvation for the human race. What was unforeseeable, was that one would be bent on destroying humanity.

About the Author:

Maverick Vard ger published his first book, The Vibrational State: Three Years of Out of Body Experiences in August of 2019. The book details over 50 out of body experiences along with techniques, methods, and debriefs of each experience.

In September 2020, Vard ger launched the Evidence of the Afterlife podcast. The podcast explores various topics through interviews in search of proof of the afterlife. The podcast can be listened to on various platforms such as YouTube, Apple Podcasts, Spotify, and all major podcast providers.

In October 2020, Vard ger published his second book, Lead Line: One Man's Search for Spiritual Truth. Lead Line details his life experiences with religion, spirituality, and his existential quest for answers regarding the human condition.

In March 2021, Vard ger published his third book, Her Eyes Were Green, an adult science fiction novel. The story takes the reader on a journey through time from the perspective of multiple lives.

In January 2022, Vard ger released his fourth book, Awake Eternal, an adult science fiction, cyberpunk novel. Awake Eternal confronts the human existential crisis through the lens of a futuristic world where humans and machines cohabitate.
