After the great success of our previous book "Aphorisms and Quotations", we decided to present to our distinguished readers this second book "Axioms, Aphorisms and Quotations".Like the previous one, this book is based on my collection, over many years, of aphorisms and quotations, but also on my ideas about the Universe.To be easy to read, I divided the book in three sections: the first one, called Preamble, includes my axioms about the Universe, and the other two sections are: Part I, which contains aphorisms and quotations starting in English, and the aphorisms will have their Latin or other language translations and examples.Part II contains only aphorisms starting in Latin and other languages, with their English translations and examples. Each Part has 7 Chapters, in which I grouped the aphorisms and quotations by subjects.My wife and I include several pictures which we took in Rome, Italy, and other cities, to see some of the places where many of the Latin aphorisms and quotations were created, about 2000 years ago.
Dr. Dediu has over 25 years of experience in mathematical research, engineering, technology management, research, consulting services, academia, and poetry. During his diversified 25 years of global business experience, spanning executive level positions across Mathematical Research, Statistical Analysis, Customer Services, Engineering and Information Technology, and during his demonstrated leadership in developing strategic industry partnerships in the Information Technology industry at multiple global and national companies, he acquired extensive experience in developing and executing strategic and tactical plans across a broad range of markets, technologies and operational areas. Dr. Dediu has worked in several areas: Research & Development, Statistical Analysis, Business Administration, Engineering, Networks, Quality Assurance, Communications, Software Engineering, Data Services, Customer Support and on many applications ranging from Financial and Statistics to Artificial Intelligence and Expert Systems. In parallel to his business activities, Dr. Dediu has remarkable academic achievements: he was invited to present his research results at several universities and research institutes, including Accademia Nazionale dei Lincei (Rome, Italy), Universita di Palermo (Italy), Mathematisches Forschungsinstitut Oberwolfach (Germany). He obtained a research scholarship from the National Council of Research of Italy, and was a researcher and professor at Universita di Torino. In the United States he was a visiting professor at several Universities. Dr. Dediu published over 100 papers, articles, and reviews, and was invited by more than 40 universities and research organizations, to present lectures and to provide research management strategy. As a poet and writer, Dr. Dediu has his own literary club and published his poems in several magazines. Dr. Dediu is a US citizen, fluent in Italian, has a Ph. D. in Mathematics, and attended many post-doctoral Mathematical and Engineering Management seminars, as well as literary discussions at Stanford University, Massachusetts Institute of Technology, Harvard University, and other Universities.
