Kabir Jha has gone into depression and no one knows why. Why does a young man quit his MNC job and withdraw from social life? B Ground West charts his journey with friends at IIT Khargpur. Kabir's friends Faiz and Monulal narrate their lives at college to his psychiatrist Nutan. With one story each semester portrays the life of indiscipline and insincerity at an academic institute, encapsulating a journey of love, internal strife, ambitions, successes and disappointments. They discuss sex with drunken alumni, smoke weed to mourn the death of Ingmar Bergman, romance a German exchange student, miss exams, and then mess up their Masters research project. In the midst of all this lies the story of Kabir's love for Ruh, daughter of an alumnus. Throughout this journey, they meet many people; some of them who scar and others who heal. The central characters continuously do soul-searching through these experiences.

Siddhartha Bhasker developed an interest in literature during his college days and started his journey through blogging. He published a short story Pasta Lane in the best-selling short story collection Urban Shots: Crossroads. After that, he published a collection of short stories Chokaro Tol: 5 Mystical Stories From A Jungle Town Of India as an e-book on Amazon. The magical realism of Gabriel Garcia Marquez's novels and the stark realities of Premchand and Phanishwar Nath Renu's world made him realize the treasure one's past and experiences of daily life held. Since then he has read and written regularly. The story of B Ground West developed in Mumbai. He wrote the novel after quitting his job at a consultancy firm. The period of writing the first draft was engaging. At present he resides at Ahmedabad pursuing his PhD in Economics. He is currently writing his second novel.
