Though Katrina Thompson currently works in the customer service sector, her passion for whimsical settings and adventures to far-off places is a part of everything she does. Writing the Starfire series and other novels over the past four years has allowed her to grow along with her characters and express her own thoughts and experiences through their lives. Thompson grew up in a somewhat sheltered household, which she believes enabled her to stay grounded and allowed her to figure out her personal identity on her own terms, without the world's telling her what to like and who to be. This heightened level of self-awareness has armed her with the ability to make certain aspects of each of her characters a reflection of herself.
