Fast die gesamte Ernte - und dazu noch eine sehr groBe Menge des 28% betragenden Anteiles der Chemiefasern - wird nach dem Baum- woll-Streckwerksspinnverfahren verarbeitet. Die Maschinen sind, abgesehen von rohstoffbedingten Abweichungen, fUr die Verspinnung beider Faserstoffarten praktisch gleich. Der weitere Anstieg des "pro-Kopf"-Verbrauches an Textilien und die industrielle Entwicklung verlangen einen immer starkeren Ausbau der Textil- industrie. Auch in absehbarer Zukunft wird das bier unter dem Begriff "Baum- wollspinnerei" besprochene Verfahren wohl seine beherrschende Rolle beibehalten. In den Industrielandern schreitet die Automatisierung unaufhaltsam voran und verlangt in steigendem MaBe gut ausgebildete Fiihrungskrafte.
